Gotterhavn Lore

Long ago the land of Gotterhavn was bestowed with immortality. None perished nor aged in the Age of Four Patrons. It was Noverod who changed everything. His power grew and for ever grew, that he began to tilt the balance in nature. His path to conquer and subjugate everything manifested in the destruction of so many aspect of life at the rate that Eirisse’s restoration power could not match. It was then that the other 3 patrons demanded the Godfather that Noverod be vanquished once and for all. The Godfather refused their plea, but could not leave Noverod’s fancy unchecked. He then summoned Zilgen, a patron who introduced death and decay into Gotterhavn. A war ensued. Death ravaged the land, but those who passed the threshold of life in the Under Realm would come back again as their original form to wage war once more.

The Age of Warring Gods began, and the cycle of death and resurrection became the norm. There was peace, though mostly there were battles. Alliances were formed. Betrayal went unpunished. And such was the state for thousands of years. The end of the Age of Warring Gods was marked by Eirisse’s surrender to her own compassionate soul that she begged to the Godfather for true death—if not for her, then for her faithfuls. The Godfather listened and retreated to his own musing. He was gone for a long time that the patrons and their followers began to fear the worst. But just as they started to feel abandoned, the Godfather came back. And with him he brought good news: that He had granted Eirisse’s wish, and it is Himself who would receive the souls of the dead with open arms and dine with them. The good news, however, did not come alone. The Godfather declared that the reward of true death could only be achieved by those who could seek and find the Victor’s Crypt, by which they could ascend, and which only comes every once in a while. This announcement marked the Third Age: the Age of Deadly Bouts.

The Beginning

We started concepting Gotterhavn in late 2021. We the core team have observed that the artworks in the NFT world have remained stagnant in terms of style. So we decided to come up with a hyperrealistic art style to stand out from the rest. We strive to create something authentic in a way that not only our artworks are novel, but the IP itself is no derivative of those that preceded us. A discussion then concluded in our decision to create 7.777 NFTs. We also aim to operate based on community and transparency, because not only do we want to build and IP, but also to build and foster a community behind it. We don't like promises, what we like is delivering great products. That being said, we hope to show that our dedication to our Prophecy-map can be tested and trusted, since a map is how we can communicate our vision to the general public. We monitor very closely the blockchain development, website making, artistic department and our NFT quality with strict quality control to achieve the best result.

Initially

We are nothing without our community, as that is the core foundation of building an IP that is conceived from the web3 space. So our first priority is to build a solid and active community with a positive and inclusive environment. Currently you can learn about our project overview, roadmap, sneak-peeks, and how-to’s on our social media such as Twitter, Instagram, and Discord. Our website will be launched alongside some chapters of the novel containing the story of Gotterhavn and its characters, and many more which will be revealed in due time. But there's more! To spoil some of our plan, here's what we'll be releasing soon: Gotterhavn Teaser #1 and Trailer #1, and giveaway events too!

We are not stopping there! We will continue on revealing the rest of the novel (Gotterhavn: Unholy Consortium). We also want to execute the plan for a merchandise giveaway event. But maybe the most important to some of you is that there will be the minting phase of 7.777 collectible NFTs after the Circle of Aristocrats membership NFT is released. This membership will have the utility of earning a 40% dividend of the total volume trade of the main collection as well (now Gotterhavn Renaissance). Those who have minted or owned Unholy Consortium collection are also eligible to gain access to the Private Sale of Gotterhavn Renaissance collection, as well as a reserved supply double the amount of Unholy Consortium NFTs they are holding. But the benefit of this membership doesn't stop here! If you are a passionate supporter of Gotterhavn within both the Aristocrat circle and the Old Guardian circle, you will receive so many more benefits.

Down The Road

This point on our Prophecy-map (Roadmap) will be very significant to both the developer and the community, as this is where we would want to realize the IP. These are some possible endeavors for us to expand Gotterhavn as an IP to: 1. Cinematic web series 2. Cartoon/Anime 3. Fashion Brand 4. Some community events 5. And many more Note that our NFT holders will be able to vote which of them takes our first priority.

A Bit Later...

Once our chapter on Gotterhavn: Unholy Consortium ends, we will continue to give back to the community. We will start developing Gotterhavn Book II with different utilities while still retaining the authenticity. The Gotterhavn Team will keep spoiling members of our community who are actively contributing to Gotterhavn with more contents and a great many thing! Last but not least, our NFT Holders from the 1st collection will get an airdrop for the next collection!

Gotterhavn is a fantastical universe governed by five patrons stationed on behalf of the Godfather, a supreme deity. This fantasy world is dark and gritty in nature, and is home to warring factions, each worshipping their own patrons. Every creature within it is immortal: when they die, they will come back to the world to wage war over and over again. From dark magic to brute strength, the inhabitants of Gotterhavn wield any power of their choice to win the favor of the Godfather and earn His reward: the Victor’s Crypt. It is the ultimate reward with which anyone may have their true death and leave the crestfallen world far, far away behind them once and for all.

Gotterhavn NFT is meant to be the start of an IP. This technology allows a new and upcoming title to be quickly recognized. We think that NFT may be the best way to pitch a vision, a new world, a fascinating set of characters to the public in general, instead of big corporations, so that people may judge for themselves if Gotterhavn is worthy of being developed further outside of the NFT world in the future.
